The correct Statutory Declaration must be used in order to qualify for lawful enrolment.

Please read and carefully choose the Statutory Declaration that applies to your circumstances.

These Statutory Declarations exist to allow a living man or woman to place their standing, allegiance, and status upon the public record of the Commonwealth clearly, deliberately, and without presumption.

Each Statutory Declaration express and records facts that already exist in law; as to your Nationality, Standing, Rights and Jurisdiction.

The differences between the forms simply reflect how that standing is recorded, and whether the Constitutional Affirmation of Allegiance is included, which determines eligibility to hold Commonwealth Public Office.

Note:
Form “CA” applies to people who were naturalised as British subjects up to and including 1983, prior to the removal of British subject status from Australian law in 1984.

Anyone whose naturalisation or citizenship occurred from 1984 onward must use Form “CB”, which requires completion and recording of a Nationalisation Affirmation of Allegiance prior to enrolment on the Commonwealth Electoral Roll.

CA — Naturalised as a British subject up to 1983
CB — Naturalisation or citizenship from 1984 onward; Nationalisation Affirmation required before enrolment.
What each form is for:

AA — Natural-born allegiance (Commonwealth of Australia) with the Constitutional Affirmation of Allegiance (office-eligible).
AB — Natural-born allegiance (Commonwealth of Australia) without the Constitutional Affirmation (electoral roll entry only).
BA — Natural-born allegiance (British Commonwealth) with the Constitutional Affirmation (office-eligible).
BB — Natural-born allegiance (British Commonwealth) without the Constitutional Affirmation (electoral roll entry only).
CA — Commonwealth national standing recorded (before 1984) via nationalisation or historic Commonwealth status with the Constitutional Affirmation (office-eligible).
CB — Nationalisation or transition from corporate citizenship (from 1984) to Commonwealth national standing with the Constitutional Affirmation (office-eligible).
